Changes to the Australian Apprenticeship (Traineeship) incentive payments

Due to your enquiry into Government Funded Training, ABI would like to bring to your attention; changes to the Australian Apprenticeship (Traineeship) Incentive Payments which will be implemented from 1 July 2012 which may impact on the amount of enrolments into Traineeship from the 1 July.  Therefore if you are eligible for Government Funding it would be advised to have your enrolment form into ABI before 10 June 2012.

This information needs to be discussed with your employer so they don’t miss out on incentives and you don’t miss out on acquiring a qualification.

Circular - Easter and ANZAC Day holidays

Dear Karen,

The National Employment Standards (NES) entitle employees to take declared public holidays and to be paid their base rate for the ordinary hours they would have worked on the day. The NES also entitle employees to reasonably refuse to work on a public holiday. See attached circular for more.
