Green Square community and cultural precinct

We've transformed and found new uses for the heritage-listed buildings of the former South Sydney Hospital site, in the heart of the growing Green Square neighbourhood.

The precinct, which sits between Joynton Avenue and Portman Street, Zetland includes a creative centre, community shed, childcare centre, park and public artwork. It is a place for locals and visitors to explore their creative side, meet their neighbours and enjoy spending time.

Joynton Avenue Creative Centre

The award-winning Peter Stutchbury Architecture has turned the former Esme Cahill nurses quarters into the Joynton Avenue Creative Centre, an inspiring space where people can express themselves and connect.

107 Projects , one of Sydney’s best loved arts organisations, manages the centre on the City’s behalf. It’s responsible for overseeing daily operations and developing programs and activities to engage the local community and creative sector at the centre.

107 Projects is working with small creative businesses and artists to help them settle into their new subsidised offices and working spaces.

You can hire a number of indoor and outdoor areas by contacting 107 Projects.  See the full story and...
