History of the Chamber

The South Sydney Business Chamber evolved from the Redfern Waterloo Chamber of Commerce, a not-for-profit organisation Incorporated in 2003.

At a Special General Meeting of Members held on 23^rd September 2010 it was agreed to adopt the new name and a new constitution

The changes reflect a growing and revitalising business precinct and the recognition of the benefits to be gained for members though support of a dynamic business association. The role of SSBC is to promote the interests of business in a rapidly changing precinct of Sydney.

The focus of the SSBC is on the future, building on the strengths of the past.
