Meet Committee Members
John Richardson
As the General Manager-Marketing for the Souths Rabbitohs, John has been working in Redfern for 5 years overseeing the brand relaunch and marketing transformation of the famous 102 year old South Sydney District Rugby League Football Club. John joined the Chamber’s Executive in early 2010 hoping to lend insight into membership growth and feedback on Redfern’s own brand development and relaunch. Redfern- Waterloo is a vibrant, diverse place to do business, hampered primarily by a lack of fluidity between hubs and negative image to passing traffic (closed roller shutters on unleased shops along the main arteries).
John would like to see the Chamber become a truly powerful voice and conduit for local business owners, operators and advocates. He envisages a voice that seeks support to help the businesses (both current and future), achieve the potential of the area. John’s vision for South Sydneys reputation is that it becomes known for enclaves of excellence and creativity, but also an attractive destination where visitor and shoppers head to be surprised (in a positive way!).

David is a proud father of four and uses the restoration of old timber boats as a therapeutic reminder that we're only here for a short time but our assets are here for longer.
Meet Committee Member
Jeremy Martin
Jeremy Martin is Managing Director of Martin Property and he knew he wanted to be in real estate from the time he was 12 years old. By 14 he was working on a casual basis with an experienced property developer, learning first-hand that many agents have a short term focus on transactions and commissions. In contrast, clients view property as an investment, not a purchase, and they value relationships, information and opportunities that contribute to their success and well-being over time.
Armed with a bachelor of Land Economics, and practical knowledge gained at small and large agencies, Jeremy Martin launched his own agency in 2001, based in Zetland.
Jeremy Martin enjoys getting to know people and every one of MARTIN’s customers – be they a landlord, vendor, prospective buyer or a person who chooses to rent - is given the same time and respect. He provides the Chamber with his expertise and knowledge of the region and excellent business acumen.
